After harvesting, the Distribution-Export companies are in charge of marketing fruit and vegetable on the fresh produce market to wholesalers and major multiples in France, and to international clients from the European Union and other European countries and from further afield in Asia and Latin America.
Combining skills in agriculture, storage and packaging, finding foreign customers as well as taking on board the requirements of retailers, the Distributors and Exporters are key players in bringing products to the market place, ensuring consumer satisfaction, maintenance of quality standards and traceability throughout the chain.

With a turnover of 2 Billions Euros, the profession is represented by the National Association of Fruit & Vegetable Distributors and Exporters, ANEEFEL, which is the first commercial link in France's Fruit and Vegetable industry. Situated in the heartland of production, the Distributors and Exporters companies play a major pivotal role in the socio-economic fabric, both within the Fruit and Vegetable sector and related sectors (hauliers, packaging companies, suppliers and service contractors).
